Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Underground HD Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty machinery and equipment used in underground mining operations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and teamwork in a challenging underground environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on heavy machinery, including but not limited to excavators, loaders, and haul trucks.
- Conduct inspections and diagnostics to identify mechanical issues and recommend solutions.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of equipment and minimal downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Adhere to safety regulations and company policies to promote a safe working environment.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior fitters and apprentices as required.

Requirements and Qualifications
- Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Fitting or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the mining industry.
- Current driver's license and relevant certifications (e.g., working at heights, confined space entry).
- Ability to work a rotating roster, including night shifts and weekends as required.
- Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to risk management.
