Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Precision CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-precision components. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to quality, ensuring that all products meet stringent specifications and standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes and mills, to produce precision components.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine machining processes and requirements.
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal performance and quality.
- Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment to minimize downtime.
- Perform quality control inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify that components meet specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing processes and efficiencies.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Proficient in CNC programming and operation, with a strong understanding of G-code and M-code.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, materials, and tooling.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC machinist in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software is preferred.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to work flexible hours as required.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality assurance practices.
