Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic insights to support the organisation's financial objectives. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, including taxation and financial reporting requirements.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance to senior management.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Monitor and improve internal controls and accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Liaise with external auditors during the audit process and address any identified issues.
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CA qualification is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in a senior role.
- Experience in a relevant industry sector is preferred.
- Knowledge of Australian tax laws and compliance regulations is essential.
