Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Draftsperson to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and plans for various projects across multiple disciplines. This role requires strong attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers and architects to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed drawings and specifications based on project requirements and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project scopes and objectives.
- Revise and update drawings as necessary to reflect changes in project scope or specifications.
- Ensure all drawings comply with relevant standards and regulations.
- Maintain organized documentation and filing systems for all project drawings.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations as needed.
- Participate in project meetings and provide input on design solutions.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and other drafting tools.
- Strong understanding of engineering and architectural principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drawings.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Drafting or a related field; Diploma or Advanced Diploma preferred.
- Previous experience as a Draftsperson in a relevant industry is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Australian building codes and standards is desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
- A valid driver's license may be required for site visits.
