Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, leading the preparation of financial statements, and providing insights into financial performance. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage and review reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
- Provide financial analysis and support to management for decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits.
- Identify process improvements and implement best practices within the finance function.

Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CA qualification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting or a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing financial statements and reports.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance requirements in Australia.
