Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Drama and English Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that foster creativity, critical thinking, and a love for literature and performance among students. This role requires a commitment to student development and collaboration with colleagues to create a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans for Drama and English subjects that align with the curriculum.
- Facilitate a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and expression.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through various methods, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to integrate cross-curricular opportunities and enhance the educational experience.
- Organize and oversee school productions, performances, and literary events, promoting student engagement in the arts.
- Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and school activities.

Requirements and Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Drama, or a related field.
- Valid teaching qualification and registration with the relevant Australian educational authority.
- Experience in teaching Drama and English at the secondary school level is preferred.
- A strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum and contemporary educational practices.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement in teaching methods.
