Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and the overall financial health of the organization. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in accounting and finance who can provide insights and recommendations to support business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and reporting to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data through regular audits and reviews.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance.

Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CA qualification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in financial accounting or a similar role.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis.
- Familiarity with Australian accounting standards and taxation regulations.
