Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic CAPA (Dance and Drama) and EAL/D Teacher to join our educational team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons in the Creative and Performing Arts, while also providing support to students with English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D). This role is vital in fostering a creative and inclusive learning environment that promotes student growth and achievement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans for Dance and Drama that align with the curriculum and cater to diverse learning needs.
- Provide targeted support and instruction for EAL/D students to enhance their English language proficiency and overall academic performance.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and working collaboratively with colleagues to improve educational outcomes.
- Create a positive learning environment that encourages student participation, creativity, and expression.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and methodologies.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to support student learning and address any concerns.

Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Performing Arts, or a related field.
- Relevant teaching qualifications and registration with the appropriate Australian teaching authority.
- Experience teaching Dance and Drama, as well as working with EAL/D students, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of current educational practices and curriculum standards in the Creative and Performing Arts.
