Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Pathology Specimen Collector to join our team at Greenslopes. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and processing pathology specimens with a focus on accuracy and patient care, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance in all procedures.
Responsibilities
- Collect blood and other specimens from patients following established protocols.
- Ensure proper labeling and documentation of specimens to maintain traceability.
- Provide excellent patient care by ensuring comfort and addressing any concerns during the collection process.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the collection area, adhering to infection control standards.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare professionals to ensure efficient workflow.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay updated on best practices and new technologies.

Requirements and Qualifications
- Certificate III in Pathology Collection or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as needed.
