Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the financial decision-making process within the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with Australian accounting standards and regulations.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reconciliations and analyses.
- Oversee the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to timelines.
- Assist with external audits and liaise with auditors to facilitate a smooth audit process.
- Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff in their professional development.

Requirements and Qualifications

- CPA or CA qualification is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.
- Proven experience in financial reporting and analysis, with a strong understanding of compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
