Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial information and supporting the overall financial health of the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and payroll functions.
- Monitor and reconcile financial discrepancies and provide timely reporting on financial performance.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Provide support in budgeting and forecasting activities.

- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Requirements and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of Australian accounting standards and regulations is an advantage.
- Experience with accounting software such as MYOB, Xero, or QuickBooks is highly desirable.
- A strong understanding of basic bookkeeping principles and practices.
