Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role is essential to support the financial health of the organization and provide timely insights for decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and ledgers.
- Ensure accurate data entry and timely processing of financial transactions.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors as needed.
- Monitor and implement financial controls and procedures.
- Provide support during financial audits and regulatory assessments.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and records.
Required Skills
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or equivalent qualification in accounting or finance is preferred.
- Familiarity with Australian taxation laws and compliance requirements.
- High level of integrity and professionalism in handling confidential information.
- Availability to work flexible hours as required.
