Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse – Anaesthetic to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality perioperative care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This role involves collaboration with the anaesthesia team to ensure the safety and comfort of patients throughout the anaesthetic process.
Responsibilities
- Assist anaesthetists in preparing patients for anaesthesia and monitoring them during procedures.
- Administer prescribed anaesthetic agents and assess patients’ responses.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to anaesthetic care.
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards and maintain a sterile environment.
- Provide preoperative and postoperative education to patients and their families.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training programs.
- Collaborate effectively with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements and Qualifications
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an anaesthetic or surgical nursing role.
- Relevant qualifications in anaesthetics or perioperative nursing preferred.
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts as required.
