Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse – Anaesthetic to join our dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing anaesthesia, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the perioperative process.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients pre-operatively to determine anaesthetic needs and health status.
- Administer anaesthetics and monitor patients during surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with anaesthetists and other medical staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
- Educate patients and their families about anaesthetic procedures and post-operative care.
- Respond promptly to any changes in patient condition and provide appropriate interventions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a safe working environment.

Requirements and Qualifications
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an anaesthetic or perioperative setting.
- Relevant post-graduate qualifications in anaesthetic nursing are highly desirable.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education in anaesthesia nursing.
