Job Summary
The Staff Specialist Anaesthetist will provide high-quality anaesthesia services in a clinical environment, ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical and procedural interventions. This role involves collaboration with medical teams to deliver comprehensive care and support in various healthcare settings across New South Wales.
Responsibilities
- Administer anaesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement anaesthesia care plans.
- Conduct pre-operative assessments to determine anaesthetic needs and patient suitability.
- Manage post-operative recovery and assess patients’ responses to anaesthesia.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and professional standards.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training initiatives.
- Contribute to quality improvement activities and clinical governance within the department.

Requirements and Qualifications

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in anaesthesia practice.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
