We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role will be responsible for managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic financial decisions. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our financial data and enhancing our financial processes.


- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Oversee the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business decisions.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, monitoring variances and providing analysis.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies, conducting regular audits as required.
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.


- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA, CA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting, with a focus on reporting and compliance.
- Demonstrated experience in leading financial projects and working collaboratively within a team.
- Knowledge of Australian accounting standards and financial regulations is essential.
