Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Accounting Team Leader to oversee our financial accounting team. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, managing team performance, and maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of financial processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the financial accounting team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee the preparation and review of financial analyses and reports for management and stakeholders.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
- Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and analysis activities.
- Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Solid understanding of financial principles and reporting standards (e.g., AASB, IFRS).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- CPA or CA qualification is preferred.
- Experience in a fast-paced corporate environment is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
