We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to oversee and manage our accounts payable department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining financial compliance. This role is essential for supporting our financial operations and contributing to the overall efficiency of our accounting practices.


- Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable team, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Develop and implement accounts payable policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Oversee vendor management, including onboarding, maintaining relationships, and resolving any discrepancies.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports related to accounts payable activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to support financial audits and reporting requirements.
- Train and mentor accounts payable staff, fostering a high-performance team culture.
- Monitor and manage cash flow related to payables, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.


- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with vendors and internal stakeholders.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting software and ERP systems.
- Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred but not mandatory.
- A solid understanding of Australian financial regulations and compliance standards.
