Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in the luxury retail sector. This role will be pivotal in managing financial reporting, compliance, and analysis across multiple brands. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting within a retail environment and demonstrate exceptional analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and oversee timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting activities, monitoring financial performance against targets.
- Ensure accuracy in tax reporting and compliance with relevant legislation.
- Lead and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Assist in the implementation of new accounting systems and processes to enhance efficiency.

Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CA qualification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within luxury retail or multi-brand environments.
- Experience with financial reporting and compliance in Australian accounting standards.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and experience with audit processes is a plus.
