Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Officer - Telephone Interpreting to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality telephone interpreting services to ensure effective communication between clients and service providers. This role requires excellent language skills, customer service expertise, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate clear and accurate communication between clients and service providers through telephone interpreting.
- Respond promptly to incoming calls and manage call volumes efficiently.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times during interpreting sessions.
- Accurately interpret conversations in both source and target languages.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and concerns effectively.
- Document and report any issues or feedback to management for continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on industry standards and practices related to telephone interpreting.

Requirements and Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or telephone interpreting is preferred.
- Relevant qualifications in interpreting, linguistics, or a related field are advantageous.
- Strong understanding of cultural sensitivities and ethical interpreting practices.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
- A valid working visa for Australia, if applicable.
- Completion of a background check may be required.
