Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and personable Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, providing exceptional customer service to patients, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the reception area within a medical practice.

Responsibilities

- Greet and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Manage appointment scheduling and maintain accurate patient records.
- Handle incoming calls and respond to inquiries in a professional manner.
- Process patient registrations and verify insurance information.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient care and office efficiency.
- Manage billing and payment processing as required.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence.

Requirements and Qualifications

- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role is preferred.
- Certificate IV in Health Administration or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare procedures is desirable.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
- Must possess a valid working rights in Australia.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
