Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to the organization. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Manage the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors.
- Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to support business decision-making.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of transactions.
- Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering professional development.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and variance analysis.
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications

- Experience with financial reporting and compliance in an Australian context.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, tax regulations, and financial legislation.
