Job Summary
The Insurance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the insurance operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and managing risk exposure. This role involves developing and implementing insurance policies, managing relationships with insurance providers, and leading a team to deliver high-quality service to internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute insurance strategies that align with the company’s goals and risk management framework.
- Manage the procurement and renewal processes for various insurance policies, ensuring optimal coverage and cost-effectiveness.
- Evaluate and assess insurance claims to determine validity and negotiate settlements as necessary.
- Maintain relationships with insurance brokers and underwriters, fostering strong partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and industry standards related to insurance practices.
- Lead and mentor a team of insurance professionals, providing guidance and support in daily operations.
- Prepare and present reports on insurance performance and risk exposure to senior management.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging risks, and changes in legislation affecting insurance policies.

Requirements and Qualifications

- Professional certification in insurance (e.g., CIP, ANZIIF) is preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of insurance products, regulatory requirements, and risk management principles.
- Eligibility to work in Australia and relevant background checks may be required.
