Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance, ensuring the accuracy of financial data and adherence to regulatory requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Develop and manage the annual budgeting process, providing insights and recommendations for cost control.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards, including AASB and tax legislation.
- Supervise and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies.
- Liaise with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs.

Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or CA qualification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably within a medium to large organisation.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
- Strong understanding of Australian financial regulations and tax laws.
- Experience leading and developing finance teams is advantageous.
