Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to oversee and manage our financial operations. The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and the effective management of financial systems. This role is critical in providing strategic financial guidance to support the organisation's growth and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, budgets, and reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Oversee the financial planning and analysis process, including forecasting and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the financial close process, including month-end and year-end close activities.
- Supervise and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support business decisions.

Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional qualification (CPA/CA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Familiarity with Australian accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in financial software implementation and system upgrades is an advantage.
