Job Summary
The Gallery Officer at Pine Rivers Art Gallery is responsible for the effective management and coordination of gallery operations, exhibitions, and public programs. This role involves engaging with the community, supporting artists, and promoting the gallery's objectives to enhance its cultural significance within the region.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, installation, and de-installation of exhibitions and displays.
- Coordinate public programs, workshops, and events to engage diverse audiences.
- Provide excellent customer service to visitors, addressing inquiries and facilitating enjoyable experiences.
- Maintain the gallery's collection records and assist with inventory management.
- Collaborate with artists, curators, and other stakeholders to promote exhibitions and events.
- Support marketing and promotional activities to increase community involvement and attendance.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational policies within the gallery environment.

Requirements and Qualifications

- Previous experience in a gallery, museum, or cultural institution is advantageous.
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required for events and programs.
