We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant for a newly created role within our finance department. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business objectives. This position offers the opportunity to shape the accounting function and contribute to the overall growth of the organisation.


- Prepare and analyse monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Oversee the annual budgeting process and financial forecasting, providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Manage the general ledger, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variances analysis.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in accounting operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making and strategic initiatives.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CA qualification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
- Prior experience in a senior or supervisory role is preferred.
- Knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
