Job Summary
The Student Engagement and Wellbeing Leader will play a pivotal role in fostering a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes student engagement, wellbeing, and academic success. This position involves developing and implementing programs and initiatives that enhance student experiences and address their emotional and social needs.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement strategies to promote student engagement and wellbeing across the institution.
- Collaborate with academic staff, support services, and external partners to create a holistic support system for students.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of wellbeing programs and initiatives, making necessary adjustments based on feedback and data analysis.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions for staff and students focused on mental health, resilience, and community building.
- Act as a point of contact for students seeking support and guidance, ensuring they are aware of available resources.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations to enhance support services for students.
- Prepare reports and presentations on student engagement and wellbeing metrics for senior management.

Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in student engagement, wellbeing, or a related role within an educational setting.
- Understanding of current issues and trends in student wellbeing and mental health.
- Relevant certifications in mental health first aid or counselling are highly desirable.
- Current Working with Children Check and compliance with child safety standards.
